The decrease follows a decrease for ‘all work’ of 1.6% in January of this year compared with January 2023, however the price index increased by 0.1% month-on-month between January and February of 2024, following a decrease of 0.2% between December 2023 and January of this year.

Between February of this year and last year the delivery of bricks fell by 9.3% while block deliveries fell by 7.5%.
In terms of materials, pipes and fittings (flexible) saw the biggest increase between February 2023 and 2024 at 20.3%, while concrete reinforcing bars (steel) saw the biggest decrease at 18.2%.
